Troubleshooting External Speakers

None of them are addressing this. It's really about the integration between the 2 softwares. Users are like testers that are not taken seriously. My bluetooth headphones are playing music while i edit. I do playback on the edit and its coming out of my laptop while music is streaming through headphones.

This is just silly to have to manually switch it every time instead of a default option for mac pro. Insane, I never had issues until now. FYI everyone below you'll find this note I copied from another users. Here is the solution I found posted earlier in this thread that actually works! Just reposting it so people don't have to go scrolling through comment pages to find it! I am editing videos, need sound to smoothly go back and forth between headphones and internal speakers like they did without any issues on my Mac and apparently previous version of Adobes apps even though things were up-to-date on that computer.

I never in my life since I own Adobe and Macs since and Adobe creative cloud since they switched to subscription had this issue, ever I pay for Adobe creative cloud too much money every month to have speaker issues and definitely paid a ton for my mac. Just to add this issue has been around since I work with Bose quiet sound 35 bluetooth headphones. They sound fine with every other app on the Mac. When booting up premiere they get switched to ch1 sample rate.

The only way to fix this is to fumble around with the MAC OS audio settings, Audio midi controller, and the audio hardware tab in premiere. Eventually it will "catch" and output 2 ch at So it boots up sounding like a bad AM radio. I've found that it gets harder and harder to force Premier to document sample rate to Another epic fail by Adobe. Not only was it just awful design but it hasn't been fixed in practically 5 years. Way to listen to your customers!

You guys should be embarrassed. This is ridiculous. Get an intern to fix it. Or let me at it When that happens just switch the bands back and just repeat. In addition to eqmac, this issue also occurs when using soundflower and AU Lab's equalizer and other software.

How to check your sound settings

This is most certainly an issue with some Apple driver or Core Audio, but it looks like there is no good solution at the moment and there has been none for years. If someone has knowledge of this domain and could investigate the actual source of the problem, maybe an open source solution could be made. I gave up entirely on all Mac-based EQ software.

Not worth the hassle. Instead, I upgraded my headphones, to ones that don't require EQ. Problem solved I ended up using Boom3D, it doesn't seem to have a problem with any cracking sound and works as expected. In the end though I don't use it that much either, having headphones that don't need an EQ in the end too. Another interesting thing is when switch between bands as Wist suggested when I come back to the band all the values are severely increased, I wonder if this is the root of the issue, this values keep increasing behind the scenes until the sound is distroted.

Getting the Sound to Work on a Mac Mini

Have good headphones, but still like to have EQ for different things I'm listening to. This is the only one that has a 31 one band EQ, as most of the other choices only have 10 band. Have tried almost every other options menuBus, Sound Control, Sound Source, Audio Hijack , nothing is as simple and as easy to use as this one. Maybe we can looking into menuBus or Sound Source to find solutions to this crackling problem.

Either way thanks for making this, highly appreciated!

No sound on Mac? Check these things first

October I bought the new MacBook Pro 13 inch. Didnt notice any issue with sound. Had to return the MacBook though because of a discolouration issue on the touchpad. Got my MacBook Pro back after one week wait, they had to replace the entire topcase. Also bought expensive, wired headphones. Figured I need an equalizer.

MAC to TV no sound fix [MINI DISPLAY PORT to HDMI]

Downloaded and installed this. Had crackling in my expensive headphones. Checked with all my other wired headphones, same issue. No issue via bluetooth or MacBook Pro speakers. Did a clean reinstall of Mojava. Still had the crackling. Spent almost 3 hours on the phone with support. No solution, they couldnt understand what I was talking about in the first place.

At that point bit desperate to be honest. Thought I will try fixing this with professional software. Hopefully this will solve our issue. Haven't tried it yet. Finally Apple acknowledges the problem and tries to fix it. Installed the update on my MBP yesterday and the issue still persists. I've been reselecting the audio channel with my headphones in every couple songs as I'm listening to music.

Sounds degrade after 30 minutes playing aprox. Sounds starts crackling and after a while completely turns off. Same issue, MBP The Accesibility workaround seems to have delayed it quite a bit, but it comes back. Restarting definitely fixes it. Maybe I can track the error down and give it a shot. My solution is change the audio format from 48,Hz to 44,Hz. Hope that help you. I made a short little script that waits until the song has finished playing before restarting eqMac. I'm not saying macos has no problems, but the fact that you can manually switch between 10 and 31 bands the only fix that worked for me to clean up the issue means that the software can probably mitigate this issue.

Gosh this is so so sad. Still same issue, trying 10 bands for now it's fine, mostly getting issues with 31 bands. I'm guessing this is not hardware issue but a glitch in this app, shame that creator is ignoring and not posting anything about this issue. MariuzM The creator has posted about this in other issues. TheKuyPeD What is that app you have the screenshot of? So this is basically matching your file to output right but what if you have multiple files with diff frequencies are you going to constantly change them depending on file?

This option is valid if you have a lot of if not all files with same frequency but apart from that I don't think this i will work.

The frequency and depth settings do not really matter in this case. The crackling still comes back eventually, even if they match. I went to the Audio Output setting. It was at 2chbit. I don't think it's of any importance that the Volume Slider for M seems to be at zero, although 1 and 2 are at about halfway, but it says that my System Settings are all defaulting to my USB Headset ie that that's all there is which would help explain why no sound I suppose, but doesn't explain why.

Mac: Can't Adjust The Sound Volume Level, Fix - macReports

I think part of the problem is that I don't seem to have any audio apart from USB. The built in audio has disappeared. The practical side of all that is, however, a mystery to me. User profile for user: AndyO AndyO. Apple Watch Speciality level out of ten: 0.

Jul 10, AM in response to o i c In response to o i c I know this will sound a bit silly, but try running Garageband, playing one of the sample tracks provided, and then quitting it. This has been known to resolve 'lost' audio of this sort. I am ignoring the WiFi daughter board. There is a small 2 wire connector at the front, a large edge connector from the logic board to the removable plastic part which amongst other things contains the hard disk and DVD drive , and at the back a small plastic flat ribbon cable. I can't be sure, but the small plastic ribbon cable at the back might be the culprit in your case in that it has come loose.
