Thoroughly great album. French excels at picking excellent production and meshing it well with his voice and flows and its perfectly displayed on this album. The features on this project are insane, basically everyone shows up to deliver memorable verses and hooks. French has an uncanny ability to bridge the generational gap with the artists he works with, from Styles and Jada, to Rocky and Drake, to Kodak, and he uses all of them to their potential perfectly.

Its a real shame this project had a really botched release cause it had serious potential to be something remembered by the mainstream as a seriously great album. French stays overlooked by many despite being popular. You wrote about the wrong album mate, this is for The Appetizer tape with Harry Fraud. I loved the review though and agree completely, was among my favorites of This is the most beautiful summary of French Montana I've ever read. Really glad to see this, both Montana and Fraud are way too underappreciated on here. Harry Fraud might be one of the best samplers out, no idea how he does it.

His beats on this all sound magical and luxurious and for me it's easily over these type of beats Montana does best. Of course he has a bunch of amazing party bangers but he really shines when he does the laid back songs we find on here, especially stuff like the intro and the first verse on How You Want It where he just talks about street stuff, where he came from and what he has gone through.

I would say that is probably my biggest issue with this tape, it's not as fleshed out as it could have been. The song structure is very similar on all songs outside of the intro and How You Want It and many hooks sound very similar in the delivery. In the end I still love this tape a ton and it just misses his top 5. You know, I've slept on French a lot. Recently though I've started listening to some of his tracks and realised he's actually very underappreciated by the wider hip hop community.

This tape is actually so dope, loved Poison especially. I don't know much about the mechanics of hip hop like so many on this Reddit but from a more casual hip hop lovers perspective, this tape gives me that "today is a good day" feel, hard to explain but it's priceless. It makes you feel super bubbly and chill, it's a "feel good" tape I guess would be the best way to describe it. French doesn't exactly blow anyone away with any lyrical prowess but it's his vibe that works for him, his delivery I like, he's easy to get along with and vibe to without having to study everything he says.

Admittedly I don't know as much as i'd like to know about the producers and DJ's in hip hop but Fraud has done a good job here, the sounds compliment French's style perfectly in my opinion. Q: have these two made any other tapes together?
