We're hoping it will provide a more robust experience than we had when using Duet with video app in years past. This update also does seem to indicate that the Mac Pro is coming soon since the field is well prepared for it with software starting to support it. However, the last word from Apple is that the Pro will ship in the fall, which ends on December 21st, so we might still have a few more months before we see those in the field. I think you have an outdated opinion on this.

Apple made a big effort to bring professionals into the 21st century with It's time to let go of old grudges and look at it again. It's being used all over the place by professionals on commercial projects. Oof that's a seriously ignorant comment.
I could go back to Premiere but it took Adobe and their insane amount of subscription money about 3 years to get Premiere even close to having the performance FCPX has had, not to mention Premiere is just a slow and clunky editor.
