There is a knows issue with minis, mini-Display Port, and the Most people with the problem haven't found a solution.

Some have found temporary fixes or arcane workarounds. In some cases, the the mini-DispalyPort cable shipped was not a dual-something, and getting the correct cable fixed the issue. And many times the fix was short-lived. Good luck.

All Windows stuff, but the problem is similar. You may be right in your previous post, either a new monitor or new video card. You claim the Mac Pro is new. People in this forum sing the praises of Apple like there is no other. What about now? Not one bit better than the rest when all they can say is, "sorry. But shipping is free.
Maybe it can retire to a room with a Blu Ray player, HD cable or satellite, or video game. This is the kind of thing that can make a consumer bitter till the end of time.

The card acts this way in any configuration including if its the only card in the machine and with different monitors connected at different resolutions. It works fine with the Apple drivers but of course not with my Maxwell cards. The GT is only 60 watts and I'm sure I'm not the only one still using it just for the Apple boot screen.
It works great next to these other cards.
