I have found is so much easier to apply them with brushes. And the resulst looks much better than with the fingers. I like to apply them using two brushes a sonia kashuk foundation brush to place the rouge on my cheeks and then blend it with the MAC brush. Hope this helps. Nov 2, 12, Posts. May 19, 1, Posts.

But it sounds like a flat brush would work nicely for this purpose. Mar 23, Posts. I use my fingers, because I like how the warmth from my fingers can warm up the blush a little, making it easier to spread and it looks more natural. Jan 6, 12, Posts Female. Any stippling brush works well. Mar 16, 1, Posts. Mac and or fingers clean of course! Feb 5, 9, Posts Female. Indian brands mein colorbar has a fake stippling brush with white colored bristles.
Try Kryolan. They must be having one too. Kryolan will check.. It is there since a long time. Bt its a normal brush with colored bristles only. That would be the best option. Thank you Preetha. As the name suggests and from the picture above you can see that it has two types of fibres on the bristles.
The white part is made up of synthetic fibres, which provides stiffness to the brush, and the black part is made up of goat hair that adds the softness to it for the flexibility while blending. Stippling essentially means marking a surface with small dots. A dense brush would never be able to dot your face properly rather it will apply in patches which you have to blend. Hence the stiffness of the synthet ic pointed fibres with a lot of gap in between. This ensures you cover you face with tiny dots of foundation evenly covering most of the area with equal amount of the base. Now this is my first stippling brush and i had never ever used it before getting this one so i asked the MUA there about the usage and he was really helpful.
I always had the thing in mind that you have to dot it on you face and then keep on stippling dotting it till you get the required finish you want. But he explained that there is no necessity to blend it that way. We can just dot it all over our face or part by part if the base dries or sets too soon and then blend it in swirling motion. It will look streaky at first but then you have to keep on moving it the same way again and again and you will see how nicely the base is blended.
A small tip is to spray some rose water or just plain water on the brush while you blend.

Imagine how beautiful the outcome is going to be with a full coverage base. That is not all, you can use it to blend your cream blushes as well. But since it has a large surface for blush application I would recommend dotting the blush on your cheek bone with fingers and then blending with this brush. As far as powder blushes are concerned, It is best suited for those times when you want a light application cause it does not pick a lot of powder at one go best for the hot pink and reds that is easy to go overboard with.
I some how keep it for my cream products and mostly foundation or i would have to wash it very often if I end up using it for blushers as well. Washing it is really really easy! You can just take out some face wash or shampoo on your palm and swirl it in for 2 minutes and you are done. The synthetic bristles make sure that it does not drink up the products that you use. It does shed few of the black hairs initially but after few washes it is set for life. It dries up in a jiffy too. In fact, I sometimes use the just washed brush after wiping it with a tissue and it works amazingly well.
Ohh and they do have a smaller version of this one as well..
