If it's available Get it! The parking lot is tight but it keeps you off the street. I recommend you go during lunch for your first visit so you can really appreciate the place, but if you are wanting to elbow with the trendy, go for dinner and come prepared for tight parking, a possible wait and tight quarters. The food is worth it though. My favorite is the lobster Mac and cheese served in a piping hot kettle.

The prawn sandwich is deconstructed but delish, and I'm told the lamb burger is awesome! It's down the street from a homeless shelter and across the street from a park and high end apartments so if a regentrifacation neighborhood is not your thing, stick to Buckhead. This place is for the bold and beautiful who love an eclectic dining experience. So I took my lovely mom out to brunch and not to our typical restaurants like Copelands or Cheesecake Factory but to a hip and modern Poor Calvin's.

ANGUS BEEF TENDERLOIN SKEWERS*

They have valet with a very nice and speedy guy. The bartender was fabulous and the food was so great. We started with some fried donuts that had blueberry sauce and cheese which were so sweet and soft. My main dish was the seafood omelette and yes it had fresh seafood and great lobster and since I'm from Boston I'm very particular with my lobster. My mom had the chicken and waffles which was so good and homemade. I will be back for their mac and cheese and fried chicken later this summer! Our first time.

The food was great and it was a nice carefree lunch. We will be back. I would recommend. Recently was in Atlanta staying at the downtown Marriott Marquis for a conference. We found that this restaurant was within walking distance and was highly ranked, so we decided to check it out. The restaurant is very cozy and has a great vibe. The porch is so nice and they had the shutters open so we enjoyed the beautiful evening while we were eating. The food was unique and tasted wonderful. They had quite a variety of options. The crab stuffed artichokes were amazing! The service was impeccable as well.

My only complaint was the neighborhood we walked through to get to the restaurant was pretty rough and an area for a lot of homeless people. It was okay during daylight, but I'm a female and was with another female, so we decided to take a taxi back to the hotel, since it was after dark when we left the restaurant. We met Calvin, the owner, and he was extremely hospitable and helpful.

He even called us a cab and paid for it!! How amazing is that for service in a big city! I highly recommend going here for a wonderful, overall experience and can't wait to go back to Atlanta and take my husband. Own or manage this property?
