Tsui-Ming Chen, your computer may be too old for High Sierra. Typically, a dead slow iMac will be slow because the hard drive is beginning to fail, I would check that out first! You need to follow some kind of the techniques like you can upgrade your version for working in the old mac book and this will be the best, if the internal part is not working then you need to check the system properly.
