Then just indicate the path of the character, and the program automatically animates the walk, including accounting for any terrain the character is walking over. Hair and fur features: An entire toolset for creating great looking hair and fur effects for character models is intuitive enough for a beginner. Resource heavy: This program performs fairly complex operations when animating 3D objects, and as a result is very resource heavy. Although the test computer met the minimum specifications outlined on the website, operations were quite slow.
A very powerful machine would be required for this program to work smoothly and quickly. Cinema 4D is an industry leading program for animating in 3D.

If you're not familiar with how to use the particular program, the company provides you with an excellent learning resource. It has also added a number of features that make animating and designing characters quicker and easier than ever before. This was released way back at the beginning of December ! My Cinema 4D automatically detected the update December 3rd. Why is this just now being announced Jan. This review was originally posted on VersionTracker. I'm really impressed.
Though there were several crashes usually related to extreme angles while editing objects, and i'm attributing them to my graphics cards , all but once the built-in recovery function managed to save the scene file see the "debug" folder by the side of the apps' location before it went boom. My personal favourites: The new "visual selector" tag. A real time-saver. Especially with characters, dragging the bones you need to pick often into it, creating a "switchboard" of click-and-it's-selected items with a basic human shape in the background is bliss.
The only way this could be better would be to be able to actually grab the objects on a touchscreen : The new timeline. Takes some time getting used to, but after that, it's easier than the old one. The new elements browser. Muscles part of Character module Not too happy with: - the new joints. They're a nice addition, but don't work with my personal preferences for rigging and animating. The older bones system is still available, so no problem here.
C++ – MAXON SDK SUPPORT
Fast, stable, great. But doesn't play nice with e. Feets keep rotating in sync with the hip axis. May be my fault, but with "legacy" MoccaIK and target vectors, they don't. So, again, nice to have, but doesn't fit my workflow. All in all, it's an excellent update that i'm very, very happy with.
Here's hoping on the next maintenance update to smooth the edges. I've had major problems with this update. Cinema has hung on a number of animations right as it was about to complete the file. Today, it froze the entire system. I haven't had a system freeze since the OS9. Be careful saving any of your 9. This is not worth it! The release 9 features a whole lot of improvements, which i'm still discovering each time i use the program.
Looking at the manual, and the tutorials on Maxon's web page, is highly recommended! The new HUD interface options went almost unnoticed by me, even though such nice things as side-floating sliders that stay with their objects are real time-savers when animating Seems to grow by leaps and bounds with every revision. C4D has always well okay, at least since I discovered it a year ago had the most flexible interface that makes it a joy to use, and has been heroically stable, unlike a lot of other apps I've used.

And you don't need a dongle, woohoo! The 8. Utterly convenient. There's lots more in the upgrade than that, but that's the one I'm playing with the most right now. I was skeptical at first, but this is turning into a great 3D package. Great particles with pyrocluster and the dynamics too. Very impressed! For me, the update required a clean install right off the 8.
This caused a few textures to "jump" in the animation where the switch from 8. Looks like there's some modification to the texture placing algorithms most likely to adapt Cinema to BodyPaint 2. So far Maxon UK and Apple have been very helpful. I have asked AMD if they produce the divers for Apple, implement OpenGL - no response yet This is all on a new machine running the latest patches for everything…. After comparing R15 and R16 on the same machine it seems R15 can handle moving more complex objects in the viewport than R16 [OpenGL 3 verses 4?
To the best of my knowledge AMD does support Apple in the development of the drivers, but the main development is handled by Apple. I have none of the issues you mention on my nMP.
I have the latest os and c4d. I have the amd d No issues here, D, Can you show a video about your problem?
Cinema 4D here we go!
I think I can live with it, just did not expect it - will have to optimise models more. ViewPort StressTest. It maybe due to complex models created with modifiers that calculate the object only using a single thread? I have a feeling there may be something awry with your R16 install…. Open the scene, shadows are on, navigation is OK around 20fps.
The bad news - something is very broken with R16 when running on these Macs. Anyone else testing this the key moment is when you make the spline visible in R16 only and move around the viewport. If it does not work try adding another stress model. As said before no issue with R R15 fps with shadows when moving around the Viewport c. Thanks Chris for this test. Hope somebody at Maxon can tell us if the fix should come from them or from Apple.
Is this happening just with the test scene or in every scene with spline?
