Because boot shot delete all data from device. So, if anything wrong between all of this the device will Dead? Please check it. As I mentioned already, it was working fine before unlocking. When I set the hotspot in auto mode and dial a ussd code, Then hotspot automatically goes to 2g mode and ussd code works. After that the network automatically goes back to 4g mode.
Again if I enter another ussd code, this repeats. But after unlocking things changed as I mentioned above. I tried using airtel,idea,docomo, vodafone and bsnl sim. But all sim cards works fine in either 3g or 4g mode.

When modem is set to auto mode, the hotspot is able to register in 3g or 4g only. When sending ussd codes, it tries to got 2g mode, but register fails. Even if we try to search the network manually, it will not register in the network. Could you please set your router to 2G only mode and see if there is still network access?
I want to check whether this is the problem of firmware or hardware. Thats why. Kindly check it in your free time and confirm. That is a good tip. I now tried ussd by setting it to 3g only mode and it worked. But if i set it to auto mode, and ussd code is dialed, then hotspot attempts to access 2g network first and so ussd fails.
And so now, I need to switch between 3g and 4g mode manually to dial ussd codes. But as your hotspot is also unable to access 2g network, i think this may be a common problem occurring after unlocking. Most of the people may not notice it because 2g network is not needed for internet.

Anyway, thanks for the tip. Now i tried with an airtel SIM and i was able to get 2G network on the device. You can try to update your firmware with this version and see if it fixes the problem for u. Just downloaded that firmware and updated to it successfully. My device information now shows Software version : But still the same problem exists. Its unable to register in 2g network.

All of these networks have good 2g coverage in my area and works good in my smartphone. But hotspot is unable to register 2g in any of these sim cards. When I try to search network manually it shows all the avilable networks. What could be the problem? Do you have any other firmwares to try? I purchased this hotspot two weeks ago.
The orginal locked firmware version in it was Could you please confirm whether yours was also the same version before downgrading? Firmware : You mean, you are not getting 2G network? Have you tried setting the device to 2G only mode and search the network manually? Before unlocking it was working fine.

I see, some other people also mentioned the same issue with 2g network. This issue happened after unlocking it. I have tried both idea and airtel web ui, but both have the same issue.
Internet works fine when the hotspot is set to auto mode. But as the hotspot is unable to register in 2g, ussd code fails. Also after dialing a ussd code, the hotspot gets stuck into 2g mode for about five minutes still auto is enabled in settings and red light turns on. I need to set it to lte only or 3g only to get the network back.
